WINE TOURS
Wayne is recognised as a specialist wine guide in South Africa as he furthered his qualifications through the Cape Wine Academy.
Below are some of the possible wine tours that we can provide, however we also love to make up the day to suite our clients, so please get in touch so that we can tailor make your special day in the winelands.
Introductory Wine Tour
We introduce you to the world of winemaking and the history of South African wine. Experience some of the smaller estates and more well-known farms, where we taste wine and cheese.
Enjoy lunch in the winelands surrounded by vineyards. This tour will provide you with basic guidelines on what to look for in a wine and teach you effective wine tasting practices.
Specialised White & Red Wine Tour
We delve into greater depth on tastings and tailor the tour to your preferences in wine.
We visit estates that are currently producing award-winning red and white wine. Lunch is enjoyed in the winelands.
Specialised Red Wine & Port Tour
Visit some of the most exceptional red wine and port-producing estates in the Cape.
This tour is a must for wine enthusiasts who appreciate red wine. As fine wine is best enjoyed with fine food, we lunch at an exclusive wine estate.
Cheese & Wine Tour
We are fortunate to have many excellent wine estates that produce cheese in the Western Cape.
This is a fantastic day tour for those who prefer to enjoy their cheese and wine tasting as one experience. We will have lunch at a restaurant with a particular focus on cheese, offering a variety of cheese platters.
Champagne Tour
The age-old method used to produce Champagne in France is also used in South Africa. However, as the world, aside from France, may not refer to their “Bubbly” as champagne, we refer to ours, made in the same way, as “MCC” – Methode Cap Classique.
We also produce a superb range of sparkling wine. Start your day with a cellar tour, which provides an understanding of how each of these are produced. The day is spent visiting champagne and wine-producing farms. We have lunch at a lovely wineland restaurant.
Gourmet Wine Tour
The marriage of fine wine with appropriately fine food is an indescribable experience. You will enjoy wine tasting at two specially selected wine estates in the morning.
The estate where we lunch offers a three-course gourmet meal. The combined efforts of the Winemaker and Chef achieve the perfect pairing of wine and food. We will round off the day with a cheese & port tasting.
Shark Cage Diving & Wine Tour
Combine some shark cage diving in the morning, and after lunch, enjoy visiting a couple of wineries in the area before heading back to Cape Town.
You will depart Cape Town at 06h00 and then take a 2-hour drive to the small town of Gansbaai along the east coast shoreline of the Western Cape.
Upon arrival, you will need to complete the necessary paperwork, followed by a delicious breakfast. At around 10h00 or when the tide allows, you will then depart on your 3-hour shark cage diving expedition.
Back on shore, there will be a light lunch while you watch the video of the morning’s proceedings, of which you can then purchase the DVD.
We make our way back to the Walker Bay wine region, where we will visit two wineries before returning to Cape Town. You should be dropped off back at your accommodation at around 18h00/18h30.

We offer a one-day safari trip departing Cape Town at 05:00 to arrive at the reserve for welcoming refreshments around 07:00.
An experienced ranger will take you on a 2-3 hour game drive in an open 4×4 vehicle to view animals such as lion, rhino, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, hippo, warthog, baboons, ostrich and a wide variety of antelope.
You will also have the opportunity to view the world-renowned San Bushmen rock paintings during your drive.
The reserve is also home to a diverse array of bird species. We enjoy lunch at the reserve, after which we make our way back to Cape Town, stopping at a wine farm or two for tastings.
Quad Bike Safari & Wine Tour
Enjoy an adventurous day out, where the morning will be spent quad biking around a game reserve, spotting animals like elephants, rhinos, buffalo, as well as antelopes, and more.
After lunch, enjoy the afternoon visiting a couple of wineries. You will depart Cape Town at 07h00 and will be taken on a 2-hour drive to a big five game reserve in the area. Upon arrival, you will be presented with a welcome drink, followed by a light breakfast consisting of scones and coffee or tea.
At approximately 09h45, you will then be led out on your 2–3 hour quad bike ride through some rough and interesting terrain in the 45000 hectare game reserve.
After a great buffet-style lunch, we will head back to Cape Town, stopping in the Winelands district where we will visit two wine farms. At about 18h00, you should be dropped off back at your accommodation.
